Join us at Steve's Black Sabbath BBQ for a one-of-a-kind cooking experience where you’ll master the art of authentic Texas BBQ in a hands-on, small-class setting. Whether you're a backyard BBQ warrior or just getting started, this series will turn you into a certified pit legend.
Class Series Details
Dates: Last Saturday of each month — May Thru September - Time: 8:00am – 12:00 PM
Location: Steve’s Black Sabbath BBQ, 1895 Washington Blvd, Ogden, UT
Cost: $300 for the full 5-class series (Includes supplies for each class except July's Meat class, which has an additional meat cost. (Additional cost depends on the meat you select.)
Classes can also be purchased individually to accommodate your schedule.

CLASS SCHEDULE
May 30th – The Side Hustle
This class is all about the unsung heroes of BBQ: the sides. We'll focus on the flavor-packed favorites that get people talking: Jalapeño Poppers, Pig Shooters, and BBQ Shotgun Shells. Learn stuffing techniques, smoke timing, and how to perfect each bite-sized beauty for maximum impact.
June 27th – Poultry Party
We’ll tackle wings, Drunk Chicken, and Drunk Turkey. Learn to nail crispy skin, lock in moisture, and infuse bold smoke flavor using our signature beer can techniques.
July 25th – The Meat Show
Dive into the holy trinity of BBQ: Ribs, Pulled Pork, and Brisket. This class requires you to bring your own packaged meat, and we’ll guide you through every step of prep, smoking, and serving.
August 29th – Sweet Texas Treats
Master our famous desserts: Apple Crumble, Peach Cobbler, and Apple Monkey Bread. These crowd favorites will become the finale to every backyard BBQ you throw.
September 26th – Steve’s Backyard Community BBQ
Class participants will showcase their skills in a full-day BBQ celebration. You'll prepare a complete meal for the community to sample. Attendees pay $25 to taste the creations and vote for their favorite team. The event features:
